6 Strand Celtic knot

Emperor made in mezquite harvested from the ranch of a friend of mine.
The 6 strand Celtic knot and diagonal accent in the pen's body, are made with walnut veneer and aluminum beer can.

That pen is really nice. Unfortunately, the background distracts from the beauty and it is hard to make out the detail. Perhaps a reshoot on a more neutral background would help.

did you think that you can do these precised cuts on the band saw with your jig. I am interested in your results. I did the cuts with a special (but simple) construction on my table saw. By the way, the idea to do this blank came from an other thread in the forum.

I would imagine thin brass sheets would add to the look of the pen while using the gold trim. Nice work though

The aluminum on either side of the walnut sure draws the eye -- way more than just dark wood. Really a striking pen...!
