A request for pens for a class of future Eagle scouts resulted in this group of pens. They were "challenged", while camping, to find just the right wood needed for a secret project. I instructed the scout leader on what to have them look for, why, and how NOT to get it too deteriorated. It will be a good surprise for these guys, that the wood came back to them in the form of a pen. They did a plendid job finding superior wood for this application. They collected enough great wood for about 40 future scouts pens , too.

That is a beautiful group of pens Glenn! They couldn't have found better wood even if they had known what they were looking for!
