This is my 4th attempt at a kitless pen I built it on the idea that I could modify a coin enough to be used as a center band, just a thought.

Mind sharing how you did that? That is very impressive.
The whole center band thing (and time) is what has kept me from venturing into the custom pen world.

Cool idea, Mark! I like the coin CB and the contrasting parts. I like the shape of the cap and the shape of the main barrel. There is one thing that is throwing me though. The main barrel looks too small where it meets the cap (at least it does in the 1st pic). It could be a matter of perspective... hard to tell.

using this technique to fold a coin still leaves the thickness of the coin and
I sort of liked the bell appearance. The down side is that it looks like a pen in a bell,if the pen barrel is turned to better flow with the cap it would have a rather large shoulder on it and keeping in mind that you use a pen with your hands and not your eyes I opted for a more comfortable feel when writing.
The material by the way is not acrylic it is a solid surface mortar base material
used to make piccolo flutes.
Thanks
Mark

Thanks Chris,
I'm going to hand that torch off and I'm sure your the man to pick it up.
You do some pretty cool stuff yourself.
Just remember keep the pointed side down or you might put an eye out!!!
