1) I didn't have bushings for this kit, so I made a wooden drive center and used my 60 degree live center. It worked out well so not a big problem.
2) I had to leave it a bit plump or I would have gotten rid of all the coloring of the antler. It was a gift for a friend and he thought it was cool that I was making him a pen with elk antler, so I had to keep some of the coloring.
3) As I was putting the CA finish on, I dropped the bottle. The good news is that I caught it, so I didn't make a big mess. The bad news is I glued my right hand closed.
4) As I was pressing the last part, I heard a crack. I cracked the click mechanism.
This is why I got 2 kits and 2 antlers. Lets hope learned my lessons with this one.
