Four Barons, left to right

Beech with Macassar Ebony & Laburnum twists.
American Walnut.
Laburnum.
Apple with bark inclusion markings.

HI Jim, the twists were done by,
1 Put in the the first pair off twists one of each wood, using cuts off about 40 degrees.
2 Then turn the blank over 90 degrees and make the second pair of twists 5mm further down the blank.

4 Cuts are used in total glue in this order Laburnum, Ebony, Laburnum & Ebony

Hope you can understand this, its confused teh hell out of me[:p][:I]
I should start to write down/photograph each stage as i experiment.

The Beech with Macassar Ebony & Laburnum twists, American Walnut and Laburnum are great looking pens but that apple is by far my choice for the best of the bunch. [:)]
