308 Cartridges

I had an extra slimline kit so I thought I'd try outfitting it with two 308 cartridges. I reload as another hobby, so I have plenty of brass. I'm not a big fan of this look, but I know some people into shooting sports are. It needs a more realistic tip.

Yup just get some 30 cal 175 grn knock the the sealed end off with a skew and melt the lead out. Then drill it out for the refill.

Melting it out is probably a better idea than drilling it out. I tried to drill the lead out, but it just clogged up the bit so I didn't feel like messing with it. I'll try your suggestion with some 175 Sierra hollow points this weekend.
