Had a request for some pens in a calibre I haven't done much with before, other than a couple of once fired shells.

Customer wanted a selection of pens similar to the last lot I made in .308, but in .303 British. These are longer than the .308, but shorter than the .3006 and the primer end is wider than the shell. They are also more tapered than the .308.

Here is a picture of the .303 British.

I made up a few different combinations, first up the .303 used for both the bottom and the top.

Using standard slimline clips and slimline rifle clips in both copper and chrome.

Single part .303 for top, camo blank and gold Euro rifle clip/cap

Single part .303 for top, Signal Red blank and gold Euro rifle clip/cap

Single part .303 for top, Cowell Jade blank and copper Euro clip/cap

Two part .303 top, Black blank, copper slimline rifle clip/cap

Also decide to try something new (for me anyway). As the .303 British primer end is very close in diameter to the standard Euro centre band, I decided to try a couple using this centre band. It is slightly modified, the slightly recessed/curved edge part of the Euro centre band has been turned off, the centre band is glued on to a tenon on the blank.

First one uses a Black blank with a standard Euro gold clip/cap.

The other one uses a new colour blank, matched to a Solver Paint colour - Rook, gold Euro rifle clip/cap.
