30 cal Bolt action Pen with Purple Sage barrel

Have been doing a lot of yard work and storm damage repair and have been
trimming our purple sage bushes and decided to try out some the cuttings.
To my surprise the wood was very soft, had to stabilize it with CA to get a decent turning on it.
The wood is yellowish and with some brownish veins all over the place. Looks very pretty in good lighting.
