Well, here we go.
This is the first pen off of my own lathe and was done as a thank you pen for someone who was very generous in helping to get us up and running turning pens. The recipient is a world class wood worker and avid marksman so I figured the kit would suit him well.
This is a Nickel 30-06 kit from The Pensmith with cocobolo. I learned a few things about CA finishes along the way that I will change on the next pen.
So in the spirit of "no picture, it didn't happen", here are pictures of the first pen off our lathe and only the 2nd pen I've turned to date.
