thanks all for the comments :) I personally like the masur birch the best out of them, and its probably second best overall to my favorite pen (the wifes, 2 tone amboyna)

ahoiberg - all 3 are jr gent II's from CSUSA.

Goodturns - yes it was stabilized, and turned much like plastic for me. I've got another with much more dark grey in it that I will be doing this week. hopefully it turns out as nice :)

These all look great but I like the Masur Birch the best. How do you finish the stabilized BEB? It looks great, I have always wondered if you need to do anything different with stabilized woods?

Do you have your picts linked from an outside source? The pict's web URLs suggest that. I can't see them at this time, indicating that the linked web site is down. You can upload them to this site and have them hosted here.

jedgerton - I finished the stabilized pen the same way I do with my normal pens. Since its stabilized I dont seal it with thin ca at all, I just do the normal ca finish (no BLO) and then finish with sanding and MM.
