Nice pen but I think I would prefer the blue one. IMHO this one is just too bright.

Did you reverse paint the blank, or paint the tubes? Or is that the 'natural' color of the blank? She won't go missing, very bright and sure to draw some attention!

Thanks for the kind words. My Daughter loved it. Bit to loud for me I agree. I polished the brass to a high luster before glueing it in without scuffing it. Made the blank really come alive. I do however prefer the blue one myself.
