This is my 2nd completed kitless Fountain pen. It is the 1st I have made from one of my casts(silmar 41). I had tried threading some of mine in the past and failed miserably. I sent a few to our very own drgortex to give a go. He said that it was possible to make a pen from one of my blanks. After I made my first one from AA and ebonite, Ifigured it I would give mine a try again. I found that those of who who do this alot are to be applauded. I still had problems with threads and had to redo the nib holder section. Hopefully in the near future I can make one with a clip on it. Comments and Critique are welcome and encouraged. Thanks for looking.

Really like the way the cap kinda blends into the body...and some impressive coloring going on there too!!!

What tie/die sizes did you use?

Nice.

I like the blank, and the lines of that line are just plain clean. The simple lines combined with the absence of the clip allow the blank to show off, and That blanks is sweet.

Lookin good Phil! On the front section, where it threads into the body, it looks like you rolled that edge a bit. It's the only thing that's catching my eye as far as seeming out of place. Other than that I like the shape and proportion. The blank is really nice too! Can't wait to see your next one.

Thanks for the comments. You may be right there Jonathon. That's a good tip to watch for on the next one.

I used mica from coastal scents to color my resin. Or at least I did in this batch.

I used the 12 mm triple start set of tap and die. And the 9x0.75 for the nib holder and whatever size it is for the 180 bock nib.

That's very impressive. The cap may be a touch too long. But many times that's a matter of taste. I think when you start putting clips on, then it will be more important. But I also think that a long cap is what many do when the start doing kitless. I know I did.

Regardless of that. I think you did a great job. And a really good job on the blank too.
