2nd Casting - Sweet Gum Balls

This is my second try at casting and the subject were those darn sticky pesky sweet gum tree "balls". They're infused witha first half pour of copper metallic PR and after that cured a second pour to fill up the void with polymer resin with Liquid Scales Pearl Violet. Liquid Scales is a scale tipping medium that I use in my taxidermy business to highlight individual scales on my fish mounts.

Very nice pen..
Neal if you find a woods close to you there is probably one of these trees in there.
I have three of them about 80ft tall in my back yard.I hate these trees because those little balls will tear up a lawn mower blade.

I have 3 of the same in my backyard. Those darn things drive me crazy. Now I have a use for them, (Other than exercise with a rake)
