22ct gold & anodised aluminium Gents pen

I needed a new pen for work so set about this one for myself.

The pen's body is made from aluminium which i have anodised black, and cut away two windows in its body

The brass tube i nickel plated, then 22ct gold plated

That is spectacular! More than cool right there... I love the custom finial and centerband also, they match so well it looks like they came with the kit! Great looking pen, the black and gold is pretty classy too. Can you anodize aluminum white?

the gold centreband and finial are from a chrome kit, so needless to say they are a good match

no, you cant anodise white.... though there are other options for that

Only problem now is the other designs i have in my mind would require extra tooling... may leave those ones in the drawing book for a later time

Yes agreed.. though can see myself investing in a gold tank plating setup to be honest.... stroking the piece with a brush for 20 minutes gets quite tedious after 10 minutes.. and worse when you look at the other half of the pen waiting to be plated lol.

im going to have to remake this one... the fact that the tube is not as a high shine as the other parts is bugging me!
