A friend of mine gave me a board of Mahogany to make him a pen. I wasnt impressed with the bland grain and color but I decided to try and make the cap to give the pen a little more. The first cap would have been fine if I would have realized the hole in the clip is smaller than the tube hole. Second try fit with some minor adjustments. Gold kit with CA finish.

This second Euro is made from my home poured blank. My daughter wanted a green and pink pen. I used Polyresin with white oilpaint with pink pearl X and green pearl X. I would have made a different kit but I didnt mix enough to make up for the shrinkage so I got 2 skinny blanks. She liked it. Chrome kit with mm and plastic polish.

Nice work John, the cap on the Mahogany Euro is perfect and follows the profile of the upper barrel. My daughter loves the home-brew colours too![:p]
