Turned a few more pens for graduations gifts. I posted the red sierra in an earlier post but threw it back in here for the group shot since it was one of the two pens made from the red blank.

The pens look like they'll be great gifts.

If you don't mind me asking, what kit is the non-sierra red pen (and one of the blues)? I might be showing my inexperience, but I don't think I've seen it before, and I really like it.

Thanks Geoff. The kit you are asking about is the Chicago pen kit. Craft Supply used to carry them, but I believe they have since been discontinued.

Nice pens, Derek !!!! . Like Geoff, I was going to ask about the Chicago pen kit ... I had not seen it before either.

I see here that, indeed, it is no longer available :

I kind of liked it, especially for things like graduation gifts. The cap is already made, so you only had to turn one barrel (a really short one, at that) so you could make quite a few in a hurry (like the night before graduation!). It is a really small pen though. You have to have the cap posted to write comfortably. I'm guessing that was part of it's demise.

Very nice Derek!

Hey Chuck! For the year, I'm a pen up on you now. You better get back out to the shop and get to work!

You're right. I DO need to get back to the shop. I hope they will be as nice as these Gradgiation pens. It may take several tries

Thanks for the reminder!
