1st Pen Post (I think)

I made LOML (an Army Nurse) a green pen today and decided to take a picture. The caduceus is from William Woodwrite (penblanks.ca) here in Canada.

This is the same pen along with one I made for myself. The highlight of my career so far was when I was flying with 443 "Hornet" squadron (before I was a trash-hauler). The squadron colours are, of course black and yellow.

Just a couple of gold Euros (with transmissions that went in like butter, thanks to the help I received here on IAP) that came out rather OK.

About the shape - the "hornet" pen came first and I was going for a kinda-sorta "wasp-like" look. By happy accident, the pen is quite comfortable to hold.

I'm going to make myself another "hornet" pen, but this time I will laminate yellow and black bands. It'll still be "wasp" shaped, though, because a "hornet" shaped pen would be boring...

As I mentioned, LOML is an Army nurse - GUESS how many of those @$##$@$# pens I have to make now! (grumble, grumble, grumble....) heh heh
