I have a first for the new year, I had Jonathon Brooks over on Sunday for the day to discuss everything pens and show me the steps of a kit less. We used a nice piece of aluminite. When i got to the cap I messed it up while drilling. He had to go by that time. Need to get a replacement to complete that one.

So I started going through the steps with a piece of ebonite and after several day's when time permitted this is the result still had a problem with the cap had to make it 3 times some reason it was off center. But it's complete and i'm happy.

That's a cool looking pen. I haven't make a kitless yet that some part didn't work on the 1st try, so don't feel like the lone ranger. I know it's frustrating to have to redo a part. Good work pushing through till you got it right .

And I'm looking a a rod of the same material. I may have to try some of that soon.
