1st Cigar Pencil

This is my 1st Cigar pencil. The set is Paduck wood. I got the blanks from firefighter-EMT. Thanks Lee.

Beautiful pens. Very nice straight lines. The picture without the sawdust looks brighter than the the one with sawdust. I like them both, I can just see the wod better on the second.

Looks nice Steve, how do you like the pencil kit? I need to put a nicer pencil in my car for rain days where the fountain pens do not work as well.

Hey Lee,
I like the mechanism. The twist action is interesting. I haven't used it much myself. I like it more than the click style mechanism. I just wish someone would make a pencil with a larger, tougher lead. smaller lead just doesn't last under normal use. The kit is an easy build. No super precise measurements. They just have to be fairly close to work fine. The kit is a little spendy, but all the pencil kits seem to be considerably more than their matching pens.

Thanks for the input about the sawdust. Chances are I will not use the sawdust most of the time.

Steve,either way looks good to me,only made a few c. pencils but i like them just fine for a big pencil,nice work.

Thanks Tom, Eric and Bill. The holder was just a piece of wood limb I had. Basically soaked it in poly to get the shine.

I like the set alot. I also like both pictures, the sawdust picture looks better as an overall picture but the one without the sawdust is better for looking at the pencil itself. My 2 cents anyway.
