1st churchill

Hey yall
Just finished my first churchill today. Kinda dissapointed with the desert ironwood/looks like cocobola/ but all in all I think it came out nice. The finish is shellawax only. Sorry about the saw dust I forgot to clean it up before the pic was taken.
Any comments are welcome.

The background is styrifoam I find it makes a good contrast.

First this is a great looking pen. If I might be so bold, you're disappointment might have been assuaged if you had done a lacquer, CA or Enduro finish. When done with the right finish, desert ironwood looks a mile deep.

Awesome fit. I'm always turning too thick. If you change your lighting source, your styrofoam won't be so yellow. I was wondering what it was. I thought it looked pretty cool. That's a lot nicer than a lot of the DI I've seen.

I have gotten some really nice finishes with shellawax, I even love the way it feels. Too bad the finish don't last []
