Adjust your lighting to give a 'shine line'. That will help in judging the finish. From what I can see, there is a dull spot on the upper barrel just above where the clip rests on the wood. This indicates that you have sanded through the CA to the wood in that area.

Landon, Looks like you did a fine job with the CA finish. I used to go to Chadron to service some equipment at the hospital, that is a long drive from Billings.
