I've made a lot of pens, but have never tried my hand at an antler pen. I purchased some pre-drilled antler blanks for the bolt action from Woodturningz. The blanks looked great and turned well. I wasn't able to leave any bark when I turned it because the blanks were generous in size. Photographed them on two different backgrounds.

I didn't want a high gloss, so I finished it with walnut oil and pens plus.

C & C welcome.

Thanks, Warren. I tried the second layout just to give it some life. Glad you liked it.

Mannie, what can I say:wink:

That pen looks good. Antler on a bolt action is always a good combo and your finish works well.
