these are being donated to Pens For Servicemen

Right to left, maple, walnut, mystery, mystery, Pecan. the acrylic ones I cast all the blanks, the one on the left had a flaw in the casting so became a soft-grip.

Nice looking but.

I have a suggestion. The "hourglass" shape looks good but they really don't fit in pockets well on uniforms. I had started out doing the same thing, mixed shapes ect but from feedback, went to the more slim straight look so they could carry them.

Nice looking work David.
How hard was it to create the Red, White and Blue swirl?

Not hard, but 3 hands would help. :) I was experimenting to get more of a 'swirl' effect than just 2 colors. What I did was use white as the dominant color, pour a layer of white, then pour some red/blue, then more white, then more red/blue, then more white. I had to time it so the colors could still be poured but set quickly enough to stay separate.

I will remember the suggestion on the shape. Most of the feedback I've gotten is that people like it better.
