Tried my hand at a Quarter Sawn Apple through a knot. I had some real problems sanding as the grain was swirling so left a lot of sanding lines. I ended up having to follow each grain swirl to get rid of the sanding streaks. 6 coats CA, 12k MM, EEE and final buff with flannel. Criticism and advice appreciated.

I think you did a fine job. The pen is beautiful. Love that apple wood.

I love the blank, but don't care for that kit. Still a very nice pen.

I'm not a huge fan of the kit either, but this was my second non-slim line and didn't wan't to waste money on an expensive kit and screw them up. Just giving them away to friends anyways. Thanks for looking, all.
