Default July meeting

Looks like our next meeting is about 30 days away. Any ideas about what we want to do?

Would you be interested in showing us how to make a closed end pen mandrel?

I was also thinking it would be cool to make some of those cloth pen blanks. My first attempt has failed, so maybe we could have a demo on how you make those. Would you be interested?

I could do something. Does anybody have a preference as to blanks or mandrels?

Chris, Can you give me some ides of what takes place at the meetings? I have an idea in my head but not sure if Im out in left field or not.
Do you do any casting? Ive been experimenting with it and cant seem to get the patterns laid out to where I have good color distribution.

We have just started meeting every 2 months so we are still finding a format that works for us. There is a show and tell time and a demonstration as well. We try to find out what anybody wants to talk/learn about the meeting before for the next. Jay does do casting and I'm sure at some point we could make him do another demo. If you want to talk about a particular subject now is the time to mention it.
