I'm liking the 2nd pic very much. The 1st is a bit dark. What kinda camera is it?

I think they both look a bit dark, I'd also look at getting a bit broader of a light (if you're using a tent, back the lights away from the tent to light the sides of the tent more evenly...)

From the looks tho, they are completely within the range and can be adjusted in software to bring up the exposure.... Lighting and highlights are not quite how I would do it, but certainly not bad or wrong...
