Hugo there is too much background showing, we want to see as much of the pen as possible, here is one of mine for an example![:)]

Thanks Mark but my main problem was trying to get a 10 megapixel pic to a size that would fit on this site and still keep the qaulity. Have been using my scanner since i joined (only been at this a couple of months)and wanted to start using the dig camera. But the few times i tryed to post it always said the pic was too large>(in kb not in screensize) Was trying some resolution reduction and wanted to see if the pic was about the right size for the page. And by the way that is a fine looking pen. Will put more of the pen in the pic and less of the backgroundnext time.(If I can figure out just what size to reduce the pics to so they will fit.) THanks again for the input.
If it aint broke-tear it up, then fix it.

Hi; i reduce mine to 640x480 you can do that on most photo sites on your computer, also use macro setting on your camera and have the camera setting on 3mp size seems to work for me,now all i have to do is work on lighting. carl

Hi, also, when you use a less busy patterned background, the pen will be the focus of the eye not the patterned background. and may I also suggest using a small clear stand for display. Another member a year ago took a pic like this and he was ribbed about it. The picture apears that a beautiful pen has fallen into dog waste.
I would change the stand. IMHO.[8D]
