Default Inserting photo help required.

I am following Jeff's help (shown here) on how to insert full size photos into posts but am running across an issue with the picture links.

The following is the link I get when following Jeff's directions, only problem is it seems to time out and die.

http://www.penturners.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=84813&stc=1&d=13535079 13

The following is the link I get to the picture only after I submit the thread and edit it and then follow the exact steps Jeff lays out.

How can I get the second link the first time around?

Here's how I do it!

Is this what you are looking to do?

That's what I want to do, and can do (as shown here), it is just that the links for the pictures that are generated are different after you edit the post.

I posted a picture here and it worked but soon disappeared. I reposted it here by using the method above of editing the post and find the, what I believe is, the correct link.

Maybe I am crazy ...

Here is a picture, posted following the steps Jeff goes over in his video. In my other thread it disappeared after half an hour or so, we'll see if this one works.

Hmm, the properties of the picture are correct and go to the right link even though the link pasted was different.

Maybe it was just a one time thing with that one post noted above.

No links required? The method Jeff explains in the video seem rather laboursome and not really intuitive so I am sure if there is an easier way Jeff and everyone else would love to know! Please share!

I will attempt to describe as best as I can. I do not belong to the Geek Squad, so you will have to bear with me. I have 2 IAP's open.

1. Click on Manage Att'ments.
2. Browse.
3. Upload.
4. Close window.
5. Attach files -- click on specific file.
6. Right click on Properties.
7. Hilight properties.
8. Ctrl C. OK.
9. Click on the mountains.
10. Temp allow scripted windows.
11. Click on mountains once more.
12. Delete http://
13. Ctrl V. Enter! Voila!

I trust I have given you all the correct steps!

Another way to do it is to use the IMG code. Just add IMG surrounded by brackets . Don't use any spaces. I hope that makes sense.

You'll end up with the picture.
