Tom...
I believe there are a number of members in the Charlotte metro area itself and, like Warren, in the nearby surrounding areas. I myself live in south Charlotte, in the area between 51 and Ballantyne...

Hey, Tom. Welcome to the hobby, it's more addictive than cigarettes and almost as expensive but there are ways to say your pens and make a profit. Email me if you want to get together and I'll show you my setup and some tricks.
Warren is near me and he's a fantastic guy. my email is: pensbystephen@yahoo.com

Hi Tom.
I'm down in Fort Mill, so not terribly far from you. My 2 young boys and I are getting involved in pen turning and I just received the last of the parts I need today to be fully ready for production. Unfortunately I haven't been able to make it down to the monthly meeting in Columbia. Maybe we can get them to have an off-cycle up our way :) |

Welcome to the forum Tom. This is a great place to get advice and help.
I moved to Raleigh from Mooresville a few years ago. Looking to start a local chapter of IAP over here and you and the others are welcome to join in. Keep smiling and turning!
