Ok Folks,

We have the nominations in and here they are:

O-Ring pinchuck. By Skiprat

Custom finials By John Crane

Barrel Hinge Boxes By rmartin

Window Casing Pens By rherrell

Prepping a new nib By Lou Metcalf

Minwax finish By rd ab penman


The rules are simple.

1. Read the above articles, and decide on your favourite.
2. Send me an email indicating which article you think is the Best Article of 2008.
3. YOU MUST include your IAP name in the body of the message somewhere.
4. You can only vote once.
5. Yes, you may vote for yourself if you really want to!

Voting will close at 6:00 forum time February 16th and then I will count the votes and post the winners.

There is a two way tie for second and a three way tie for third.

The winner will get a Flat rate Box of blanks ($100.00 value) including antler, corian, acrylics and wood ....from Roy99664

The person voted as runner up (2nd place) will receive a Sample pack of exotic woods from South Africa.... compliments of Zambezi Exotics.

Third place gets a box of corian squares from Nolan, an Envelope of blanks from Edman2 and Fractional Display Calipers from CSUSA



Now for the surprise!

Last year we gave prizes to the person who nominated each winner.........

We're not doing that this year.


HOWEVER,

I am going to take the names of everyone who voted for the winners and throw them into a hat and draw a winner for 3 more prize packs.


Here's how it will work:

Everyone who voted for the winner will have the names pooled and I will draw a winner. That person will receive:

A Box of Blanks from Doc Stram & Turning Pens and Pens DVD Vol1 from Kip & Rex



Everyone who voted for the 2nd place winner will have the names pooled and I will draw a winner. That person will receive:

A $25.00 gift Certificate from Packard Woodworks and 10 PSI slim kits and drilled Color grain blanks from R Martian





Everyone who voted for the third place winner will have the names pooled and I will draw a winner. That person will receive:

A Box of Bottle Stopper Blanks from Kalai and Wood turning Projects DVD Vol 1 from Kip & Rex
