At home I have a couple sayings for my wife:
If you can't say something positive - shut your fraking mouth.
If you can't give good criticism - shut your fraking mouth.

Added for this forum for today:
If you give options on where to find something at a better price, but don't give the site and won't upon request - shut your fraking mouth.
(sorry for the fraking - I'm pissed).

I am sick and tired of a few grown up children who can do nothing but be rude.
Yes the majority of you are great and I've gotten great information and help and I thank you for it.
But come on you 'few' people - grow up - a forum is to help on another.
So please wake up on the right side of the bed, or keep your mouth shut (in printed form that is).
Haven't decided yet, but am seriously thinking of quitting this site after today. I don't need more negative in my life.
The moderators can't read every single post. The yellow triangle next to every post is there for reporting of posts which you feel need attention because they violate a policy or are otherwise inappropriate. I don't see a post report from you, ever. Give that a try the next time you see things that upset you and we'll have a look.

Here's something to consider.... someone can only be offended if they let themself be.

That being the case, no one else is responsible for you being offended or not liking what you read in someone elses post .... in the old days we'd have said that is a monkey on your back, you own him and nobody is going to grab him away from you.

It seems to me that your post violates all the rules you are demanding others follow. You are being rude, telling others what to do, telling others (including your own wife) to keep their mouths fraking shut and calling people names ( calling adults children).

Where is the positive in your post?

Please, let's not get into that.

The point of the orignial post was that he was tired of people arguing...a valid concern.

Rather than throwing stones, why don't we all endeavour to be a group of friends - not just a group of coworkers!

Thanks!

Through the years here I've found it easy to separate the members who genuinely want to contribute to the community from those who just want to feed their own egos, those whose posts are credible from those which are not. When you see someone post something that is blatantly antagonistic, rude or argumentative solely for the purpose of being argumentative DO NOT RESPOND. Report the post via the yellow triangle and let the moderators handle it. The poster is fishing for a response so don't give it to him.

That doesn't mean that people here cannot have differing opinions on topics.. There is not any "one right way" do do anything when it comes to pen making. It's the people that insist that their way is the only way or that they have an issue that everyone should be concerned about, and they will not rest until they badger you into agreeing with them, that should be ignored. Arguing with them will not solve anything, so don't.

Well I STILL think this is the best forum on the web! I will put up with any differences people might have in order to gain knowledge from the vast number of experts we have here.

Keep up the EXCELLENT work administrators!

Wow yes a wow moment. I just noticed you joined in Feb. 2008 and this is your 3rd post only. That is why I thought you were a newbie. Man what the heck have you been doing??? Then you make a post like this. We definitely need a shake your head smiley.

You have the option of putting the posters you can't stand on your ignore list and never have to read another discouraging word again.
