Default Link to SOYP posts

I just had a thought

Would it be possible to put a link to the left of your post for threads that you have started in SOYP's? As shown in the picture below.

Quite a few people don't upload pictures to the gallery but post in SOYP's, this would help them show off their work.

This is the link generated for me ... not sure what other will see with it. http://www.penturners.org/forum/sear...g_searchinfo=1

I click the link and get "Sorry no matches."

Having said that, there are issues with the search function and this could be related.

I like the idea and it would be a handy function if the forum software can be made to do it.

In the mean time you can use the advanced search function by looking for the person's name, under that select the threads started and then in the forums box picking SOYP. I did it for you and see you have 5 or 6 threads of ones you posted there.

I think search result links time out after a short period, I didn't really think it would work for others.

Interesting idea. I'll put it in the job jar.

The correct search string is:
Code:
http://www.penturners.org/forum/search.php?do=process&searchuser=username&starteronly=1&forumchoice[]=13
Where 'username' is of course the username you're looking for.

And yes, the search times out after a bit...

I just tried the code and used your name, it works but returns all users that start with that name. If you do look into it the code would have to be tweaked to limit the the exact user name.

Code:
http://www.penturners.org/forum/search.php?do=process&searchuser=jeff&starteronly=1&forumchoice[]=13
